Breen is a diverse community with a lovely opportunity to share our diversity with each other. This year, during Open House on May 21st we invite families to share a piece of their heritage/culture in the form of food. The intent is to have you share a taste or small bite that is special to your family. This can come in the form of a dessert item or otherwise, but just a bite or small taste.

Breen will provide a display card by your food item that will showcase your country of origin and a place to post your recipe. Please bring the printed recipe or QR code when you drop off your food item. It will be shared in the multi-purpose room. You will drop off your items and be able to tour the classrooms as normal.

Teacher Appreciation Week is coming May 4-8th! 

Decorating doors is a tradition at Breen that delights the teachers and the students every year.

It’s time again to sign up to decorate the doors for your student’s teacher and Breen staff on Sunday, May 3rd to kick off a week of appreciation!!! 

After signing up, you will be contacted via email by our Door Coordinator, Bailie with more information including dates, door and material details, as well as inspiration. These are great projects to do with your student, after all they know their teacher the best!

Please help us in showing our teachers just how much they mean to us and our students!

The 2026–2027 Breen PTC Board nominations are officially open!

We need to elect a new Board for the upcoming school year. The beloved Breen events our students look forward to each year simply can’t happen without a full and active PTC Board in place. Board positions serve for one school year, and all roles include the training and support you’ll need to feel confident and prepared.

Then join us at the May 12, 2026 PTC meeting (6:30-7:30pm) where we will vote in our new PTC board.
