Description
The Breen Educational Garden seeks to provide experiential learning opportunities that promote science, connection to the earth’s ecosystems and food resources. Coordinating with parents, volunteers and teachers we will work to provide hands-on discovery-based learning opportunities for students that enrich and support our academic curriculum. Your donation supports:
- Garden maintenance such as new soil, pest management, plants and seeds
- Garden tools and necessary equipment
- Irrigation upkeep and adjustments
- Materials for monthly lesson activities for 400+ students
- Garden renewal projects such as updating old and decaying planter beds, signs, barrels, and fences
